“And so being young and dipped in folly I fell in love with melancholy.” - Edgar Allan Poe

I am the moon,
You are the sun.
Without you, i am darkness,
Just another object in the ever-going universe.
An ignoble waste.
A solitary introvert,
entangled in the abiding state of oblivion.
Nothing.
Caught in the bleak isolated territory of my consciousness.
But then i met you.
Your path crossed mine,
and for-with converged into one to sustain for all time.
You brightened my soul,
enlivened my mind.
Your brightness shined on me.
Illuminated me from deep within the soul to the outside.
With you i can shine.
Forever I'll glow.
And though we aren't always together,
we're never truly apart.
Our paths will always be connected.
Soul to Soul,
Heart to heart.
