your afflatus words dribble
from celestial skies, spilling with inspiration
from the elements, (jewels or weather, i don’t know)
people tell me that they’re bullet-proof
but no one tells me that they’re
diamond-proof, safe against those
daggers made out of wedding ring hearts.
(can you cut through all the objects known to mankind?)
…(what about child-kind?)
