Seven times.

I have to touch it seven times.

If I don’t my head will hurt.

If I don’t I’ll twitch, I’ll turn, I’ll wait until I can.

Seven times.

I will touch it seven times because I have to.



Up three.

Down one.

Up four.

Down two.

Up the stairs,

I count,

I add,

I skip,

Because I have to.

Up two.

Down four.

Up one.

Down three.

Because I have to.



As one,

The papers will be.

No corner out of place,

No exposure of extra.

I put them together,

Together as one

Because I have to.



Order. Order. Order.

Everything in order.

Small books on top.

Big books on bottom.

Shoes put together.

Clothes on hangers.

Order.

I put everything in order

Because I have to.



I have to.
