in glory–is Winter
Winter:
when the land is white
and wonderful
and the ground is iced and
leaves are frozen and brittle

the blissful people
safely guarded in homes

and fires
ignorant
of the icy–wonderful world

here come
bobby&sam
escaping the heat
to throw snowy fluff
and roll
the wonderful white into pretend

there go
caroline&katie
to fly
down the icy hills
and tumble in the mountainous white

while the unaware animals
hide in their dens
unaware
of the glory of the cold

This poem is about my favorite season and is inspired by e.e. cummings' "-in Just."
