Missing you is what I do best
Wanting what would have been ours
The simplicity of your breath against my neck
Feeling your warmth through my spine
Your touch is left on me for a lifetime
Your lips pressed so softly on mine,
makes me know this is forever love.

Flashbacks are what get me through the day
Wanting what was then to be now
Wishing your body was to be interlocked with mine
Having life pass us by as we stay strong together
Missing every little thing you do

Looking now into those eyes
The twinkle changes my soul forever,
and I know I will never be the same
You flash me a smile and I melt to the ground.

The author's comments:
Secretly wrote this poem about a long-lost love, many could probably relate. However, in my circumstance it is much deeper than I could ever imagine...captivating, insane love.
