Call You
You wanted me to call you
but I didn’t
Believe me, I wanted to
I couldn’t make myself
I knew what would happen if we talked
you’d make me cry and I’d want you back
I already miss you and I couldn’t stand it
I saw you with her the other day
You hurt my heart once but I still love you
but I love someone else too
Every time the journal is opened
it makes me think of you
And it makes me wanna cry,
when I read your entries
I slam the book close
you ripped my heart into shreds
It isn’t fair to me, and it isn’t fair to you
bet you didn’t know
You still hold those shattered pieces in your palm
I’m waiting for you to fix it.
