Worth waiting for

day1

saw you for the first time,
butterflies
heart pounding
lost in your gaze

week1

so much fun with you here
static with each touch
blushing at your compliments

month1

the way you look at me

the way we smile at eachother
knowing you would wait
not believing i was your first and only choice
my face flushes at the thought of being loved by you

year1

not understanding how i lived without
glad i will never have to know again
missing you always
never wanting to leave your arms
each kiss teasing promising more but eventually stopping
i finally found him
not the boy next door
but the one worth waiting for.

"Not the boy next door, but the one worth waiting for." Very meaningful line. Made the poem for me. Awesome poem all-in-all
