I make my entrance, half-asleep
I hang on in the world, clinging
I take my first steps
Clinging to something barely within my reach
I wander around
Aimlessly
For something different to happen
I climb
The divine staircase
That leads
To the promised land
Of satisfaction
When I get there
I cling
To my newfound strength
I may fall down
And lose my grip
So I will make my entrance once again
Half asleep
