The Dolls

We are the paper dolls.
Each exactly like the one before.
I hold her hand,
she holds mine.
We're one and the same.
None dare to step out of line.
You look like her,
she looks like me.
All are crafted identically.
We all look the same.
We all act the same.
We are the same.
I am her,
she is me.
If no one is different,
no one gets hurt.
Isn't life better this way?
