Repeated reminders throughout the day
Telling tales of what is coming
Predicting and preparing us to pray
The wise wind sometimes whispers
The secrets that had been secretly hid.

This year I discovered that Teen Ink has numerous of poems and songs. I like to submit my poem called The Wonderful Wind. As a student of the Delta Writing Project at Simmons High School in Hollandale, MS, I have written poems and short stories about relationships, love, life, and the environment. Through our summer writing course, I have learned the value of line break and consonance to make my writing even stronger. I aspire to use my publication success as a positive example to inspire other writers at my school.
