That Sweet Little Soul
During the fight you said you didn't love her anymore
Meanwhile your child sat listening on the other side of the door
When you demanded her attention and didn't want to be alone
You child was the lonely one, feeling like he didn't belong in his own home
When you called her a b**** and wished she would die
That baby still loved her and at night he would cry
When your decisions were bad, they became her decisions too
When he needed her, she was busy loving you
Now he's with a foster mom and dad
Receiving love from them that he never had
Although she failed him when he needed his family
That little child is still as sweet as can be
His kisses, his hugs, his love is so true
She put that sweet little soul aside for you
She would've loved to to kiss that little face and hold that little hand
She forgot about those little things and you forgot to be a man
