Halcyon forever: lavender dish soap and something cinnamon. Intoxicating. There is something so intentional about the pauses in my tea-making. Rhythm. I am standing here with wanderlust and dust beneath my feet.

Ephemeral everything: Some time ago I was a long-haired girl with blue eyes and scissors.

I love free-verse poetry; I think that it is so, so beautiful. This piece reflects how I feel in my current situation, but I prefer things to be abstract; the people that know me well are the only people that can figure out exactly what I mean.
