I saw him casually walk by
a perfectly perfect stranger
His arrogant nose stuck up in the sky
For some reason, he was a bother

His face plagued my mind
His words played again in my head
No magic spell could I find
Nothing special in what he said

I feel like the world has gone wrong
A perfectly perfect stranger
Shouldn't stir feelings this strong
My life, how could he alter?

These emotions are confusing
I feel anxious and excited
My mood is sinking and rising
Fate, I'm not amused!

Is my life some sick joke
for the amusement of Fate
This strange emotion is like smoke
A perfectly perfect stranger, I here contemplate

The worst part of love is not knowing its love. When you meet someone new and develope feelings quickly, it may not be strong love but its something and that something is hard to say. This something that is like love but not is confusing and hard to place. An affliction of love is confusion. Confusion over how you feel, what you feel, and why you feel this way is overwhelming. When I have a crush on someone, I go from curiosity, to annoyance, to anger, to saracastic humor, and finally to acceptance. I want this poem to reflect how I feel when a stranger catches my eye.
