Believing in Hope
I cannot always
"Believe in Hope"
I can
"Believe in Disappointment"
because that
is my
always experience.
Always, it follows. It
follows goodness,
good thing.
Plunging all into
Deeper
darkness.
But the dark is
familiar,
and in that way:
Warm.
I can trust disappointment
not to
abandon me;
not this thing
people look towards:
this thing called hope.
I know no hope.
