Space Lion's Mourning

July 2, 2012
Space Lion plays his saxophone,
After the bombs fell.
He breathe life in the sax,
Jazz tears into his soul.
Away from the sun,
Towards the moon,
Even the stars bend down to listen.
Jazz swims through deserted streets,
Covering the dead silent audience,
Like a gentle shroud.
Space Lion sheds only one tear,
Its trail crooked on his dirty face.
Music rises up to meet a falling star,
Leaving Space Lion's heart behind,
In tiny bits and jagged pieces.
Oh, the sax man sighs his last,
Jazz fades away,
Night steps aside for the coming of Dawn
