To Forgive and Forget
To forgive and forget
Two words that have no relation
Though,
I tie the ribbon around them in a foolish way
To bond them together
The two words can't be sewn
Into the same fabric
From the same cotton plant
They must be torn apart
Like an old piece of paper
The delicious fragility of this travesty
So confusing
So intriguing
So determined
To set apart their differences
To become one word
One peaceful word
Selflessness
Creating a place so good
Where we still laugh and wish
For better circumstances
But better is bitter!
Tis hard to keep down
Hard to belly
With its dreadful blandness
Accustomed to this life
Though,
Full of delightful tastes
Though it is not better
That would deem it bitter
It is sufficient.
