I know what awaits me.
Sleepless nights,
empty days.

Minutes go by.
Hours of pain.
Days of bitterness.

Weeks of soberness.
My addictions have gotten the best of me.

The drugs,
the smokes,
the booze.

Shakes and stirs.
Mood swings and fits of rage,
yet I ache for more as a sit in my cell.
