Passing Time
Tick...
Tock...
Tick...
Tock...
Tick...
Tock...
Our existence slowly fading
Once toddlers
Crawling, bawling and meaningless talking
The first day of school come along
Not wanting to leave your mothers wing
Scared, thoughts racing, stomach turning
High school befalls us
With self conscious thoughts
Aching hearts and stressful testing
Wishing, waiting to be and adult
Time speeds by a little more
now 32 living on your own
With aching bones, work filled days and endless bills
Then rugged crinkled skin tantalizes you
Wishing for the youth you once had
Till the day you rest your heavy eyes
For an everlasting slumber
