Moment of Truth
Thoughts are heavy,
Heartbeats quicken.
You’ve got nothing left here
But I’m still wishin’.
How could you just erase me and never look back?
I’m still replaying every moment,
every laugh.
Every fight that never really mattered,
all those weeks of silence that turned into laughter.
Not a day goes by where I don’t think of you
and hope you’re still thinking of me too.
I’m not angry, just a little confused.
How could you forget someone that once was your muse?
Maybe there’s more than what meets the eye.
That’s why I’ll defend you forever and never question why.
Why you blocked me out for someone new,
when you knew there’s so much more I’d do for you.
You know where to find me when it’s all through
and you begin to miss me too.
I’ll always be here, with open arms
for you to fall right back into.
What will you say in your moment of truth?
