Rotors rotating relentlessly,
while bombs boom in the back.
I wish it was an earthquake.
That would make sense.
No part in this war,
so why is my family gone?
Quiet as a cemetery,
the bombing’s finally done.
Did we do something?
To deserve this punishment?
“Nothing at all”,
said daddy’s last words.
“No part in this war,
other than a target.”
