- What Matters
You don’t understand what I see.
You say I’m beautiful and amazing,
But boy are you wrong.
How can a person who hurts herself be beautiful?
How can someone who snaps and hurts the people she loves be amazing?
You are dead wrong about me,
And one day you are going to wake up,
And realize that I’m a freaking mess,
And when that day comes,
I will wish you well,
Because you deserve so much better than me.
You deserve someone who is sweet,
The exact opposite of me.
One day you will realize this,
And I’m just sitting here waiting for you to wake up,
Because it will happen one day,
I’m just biding my pitiful time until you come to your senses.
I remember everything you said,
All those lies you have told me,
One day you will realize they are all lies,
Blatant lies that hold no truth whatsoever.
So please wake up,
Realize you are wrong about me.
I’m an emotional mess of an,
Inside and out,
And don’t deserve you in the least,
In any life,
I could live twelve times over,
And still not deserve you,
So wake up already.
