“I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give it.” -Audrey Hepburn

We are all lost souls
That are waiting to be found
We have all lost our goals
Dreams are no longer around

A darkness fills the air
Hope ran away long ago
Leaving no one but despair
Hopes long lost evil foe

We sit in the quiet
No one dare make a move
In secret we wish to riot
But we know despair will disapprove

So in silence we remain
As we wish we could feel
And take away the pain
Even though we all know dreams aren’t real

It is a rhyme scheme poem I made for my 11th grade A.P. Literature class.
