Highschool
Who wandered around and around until they found who they were
Those who would hope to one day find themselves
That they’d wake up, covered in guilt just to realize
That’s where they should have been all along
With the people who love them, away from those who don’t
Carrying on in either laughter or misery depending on the night
Swept away turned into day
One after another as the days turned to nights
Passing these kids find themselves changed
Warped
Only the lucky stop wandering early on and find it
As for the rest of us,
The spiral, winded path continues on
On through a journey of misgivings and misfortunes
Half spirited fun, all to find themselves
An adult
Grown up and thrown out of they’re childhoods
Weather they have figured it out or not
The search for oneself continues.
Around and around until they either find it
Or die trying.
