The truth
Sleep is the only thing on her mind
She needs an escape, she can't keep up with time
Pill and more pills is what they'll give her,
But truthfully she doesn't care
With them they keep her numb, because taking in the truth she doesn't dare.
Dark scares on her right arm
Lines cut vertically and horizontally
Yes she knows she's putting herself in danger
Yet she still cuts so faithfully
Her family, they love her
But they don't understand
This isn't how they raised her
Yet they think she would kill herself over a man
Love yourself they tell her, but now when she feels so sad
Care for yourself they tell her, but how when she feels so bad
It's just her life is falling apart, one person at a time
They'll tell her they love her, then put her on the line
Her past is painful, and yes it's in the past
But somewhere in her brain, the memory lasts
Lies and more lies are what they feed her
But truthfully she doesn't care
They keep her blunt because taking in the truth she doesn't dare.
