Promise me I’ll find love
That Cupid’s arrow will pierce my skin
And I’ll find where my true and hidden love has been
That a sweet kiss will lay upon my cheek
And sing that happy melody I seek

Promise me I’ll be okay
In a drearily dark and painful place
I’ll find a sweet, sunny spot to warm my face
In a barren wasteland with not a sound of life
I’ll find a flower bud ready to bloom without a strife

Promise me my smile won’t fade
Even when the sky is black and the floor is gone
I’ll remain me, brave and strong
Even when my sight has left and my mind is lost
My dreams will survive without a cost

Promise me this
Promise me that you’ll never break your promises.
