"The rain in the past won't wash away the present" ~Me

Hoping what once was,
The shadows of my past.
While we keep breathing,
Feeling every pinch of pain,
The shudders of the death.
We jump from heart to heart,
Stealing what isn’t ours.
Even though it doesn’t belong to us,
We take it with our powers.
My future hovers over me,
Fear I feel uncontrollably.
Never knowing what could happen.
Unwilling to choose our own path to take.
The darkness in our souls,
Creeps up on us
When we least expect it.
Strings are attached to us
So people can use us as they desire.
While our hearts continue to beat,
Touching the torture of love.
And our brains think of ways to stop.
The shivers of the ghostly cold.
Our eyes open after blinks
On the beauty of no face.
Not knowing what could hold a grip on us,
We slip.
