On and on

Feet striking the pavement always pounding;
Like the sound of thunder at the height of the storm.
Pushing off looking for traction:
Feet finding the pavement.
Staring ahead as the world flies by.
Always running as the world continues on.
Your feet carrying on pushing you forward never holding you back:
Boom boom boom methodical like the beating of a heart.
Constant unending and perfect:
Like the world and you are one.
Turn the corner, ready for whatever life throws at you.
Never caring about when or where or who's with you.
Just as long as the world moves on as you do;
All you need to know is that there is always somewhere to go.
As long as the world is there laying out your path;
Giving you the choices that you and only you can make.
Ten roads to take but only one choice to make.
Your choice is made and you continue on;
Always in doubt that the choice you made was the right one.
As you reach the end you again wonder if that choice built you up or has it torn you asunder.
