Moving with the crowd
Never starting your own path
Not going your own way
Mocking them like a parrot
Never learning for yourself

No personality to call your own
I don't even know what to call you anymore
To me you're a robot
Trying so desperately to fit in
But losing yourself on the way

You feel like you need to be somebody else
Is it worth it,
To not know who you are
And hiding among your crowd
They don't see you for who you are

Soon there will be nothing left
The you I used to know is slowly enclosed
All because you wanted to be wanted
But I was right here all along

I Just adore this poem! Originality is fleeting as it becomes more essential to success and all. This piece really captures that. Do you think you could check out my poem "puddle-wonderful"? Or maybe some of my newer work? Thanks
