Transgression
Growing blind to age
My eyes are weary
Diluted of rosemary,
A dusted telescope
Masking stardust,
The lies in onyx skies
And fake lullabies,
Visceral fabrication.
Fevered impulse,
A dangerous game
Hardened façade
Checkmate.
Built from a ground,
Falling down to base
Inject to reject
And eject from gates,
I am locked out.
Sketch my fate
With streaks of coal
A story old, told
To the dying man
Through penciled time
Life in grayscale
Fade from light
Expose the plight
Darkness is sublime.
Straight up
Cut the neural cord
Free my desire
And burn the hope
For I’ll drink wine
With blackened ash
Raise a glass
I’m out of time.
