“The purpose of our lives is to be happy.”

I am a flower without petals,
with a smell that can’t be named.
My thorns abundant, skillful with their prick,
I am growing only to create more.
I find the water in the ground,
remove the soil of its nurturing components.
Invasive species, I am not needed,
in fact, I am like an infected extremity,
removal is entirely necessary.
I live in a humble nursery,
the other flowers wilt.

I wrote this when I felt I was hurting my family and was just in a dark place. I no longer feel this way.
