seven years old
the heartwrenching sickness began
eight years later its over
he's gone
it took a special boy
but it did not win
he left this world loved
a whole towns heart with him
it did not steal his hope
it did not win
he did not retreat
he pulled a town together
made them realize life is short
but death does not win

The author's comments:
a boy in my class died of cancer this year. he was the happiest kid i have ever met and when he was sick the town did multiple benefits for him brought him and his family presents for christmas went caroling at his house.and when he got reslly sick kids from the school went and visited him every day. he died and school closed for the funeral they left memories on his locker
