I Want a Dog
Man's best friend,
how I wish you were mine,
we could run around town,
we could play ll the time.
I would buy you a dress,
you would eat my old shoes,
I would sneak you a little human food.
When I'm sad you'd give me a kiss.
When I'm at school you'd be missed.
When the sun is out we would go to the lake,
and for your birthday make you a doggy cake.
Man's best friend,
how I wish you were mine,
we would grow old together,
we would be on of a kind.
I would give you a bow,
you would take it out,
we would end up in a wrestling bout.
When the mailman comes I will lose my hearing.
When I'm home alone I will stop fearing.
When you are mine,
we will be intertwined,
man's best friend and I.
