A cloud of torment
Flies across the sky
Like a freshly laundered sheet
Being whipped through the air
Leaving streaks of gray
To contrast with the blue
Covered by an unbounded veil
Vast dimness
Shades the island
Absorbing the beauty
The peanut oil gravel roads
The clay mountains
Heavy feet stomp down worn paths
Cracking abandoned shells
Lonely hermit crabs find new dwellings
Curl deep into fresh shells
Into the darkness
Flies across the sky
Like a freshly laundered sheet
Being whipped through the air
Leaving streaks of gray
To contrast with the blue
Covered by an unbounded veil
Vast dimness
Shades the island
Absorbing the beauty
The peanut oil gravel roads
The clay mountains
Heavy feet stomp down worn paths
Cracking abandoned shells
Lonely hermit crabs find new dwellings
Curl deep into fresh shells
Into the darkness
