Poem of Life
If life was so simple,
We’d all be smiling with a cute little dimple.
But life isn’t easy,
And things can seem cheesy.
Smile no matter what you think,
To those who wear a true smile give them a wink.
Twinkle twinkle little star,
Life can be happy, sad, weird, and bizarre.
Waves will crash on the sand,
And lies will be told hand in hand,
That I hope you may understand.
For every time you say “and”,
From my head pull a hair strand.
While tobyMac rocks those raps,
Maybe you can pull out those mind puzzling maps.
Rise above all that is wrong,
In your heart, mind, and soul must you stay strong,
Life is endless, life is long,
But you’ll be happier than ever when with a song you sing along.
While children peacefully sleep,
The dolphins play in the great blue ocean deep,
And hawks nest on the cliffs that are ever so steep.
Paint with that silly stuff on your face,
But I prefer my face without it so I should learn my own grace,
And in this crazy world of make-up wearing people and unthinkable outfits everyone should think of their own future place.
Our bodies will grow old in this odd land,
But forever shall our minds, hearts, and souls be in our Neverland.
The day you say goodbye,
Is the day I learn to cry,
Wipe the tears away you may try,
But a tragic goodbye remains a tragic goodbye.
Farewell to the simple old ways,
They are replaced with complicated new days,
But all that was and all that should be stays,
As we walk along our own ways.
They are what replace our names.
Things always changing,
Our world ever deranging,
And this Universe ever so withstanding.
Souls remain dreaming.
