Lights
Lights dance in the reflection on the wall,
symmetrical circles of color.
Each their own being,
yet chained together unknowingly.
Are we all connected?
Is there an invisible chain that explains
this constant push and pull,
give and take,
of my life with yours?
Imagine how much we rely on the links,
until snap!
They break.
Do we tumble to pieces,
blinded by loneliness,
forced to drown in our emptiness?
Or do the lights dance on,
endless circles of color,
spinning into oblivion.
