Peaceful summer night gone awry
The smell of fire fills the nose.
Then we hear it: one last try
Glanced down and time froze.

The smell of fire fills the nose.
Slowly she walked, pain painted on her face
Glanced down and time froze
Our hearts began to beat at a rapid pace.

Slowly she walked, pain painted on her face
She claims no worries but soon it's seen
Our hearts began to beat at a rapid pace
Now I run, exit the scene.

She claims no worries but soon it's seen
Swooped off the ground and away she goes
Now I run, exit the scene
Feet hitting ground as sirens move close.

Swooped off the ground away she goes
Then we hear it:one last try
Feet hitting ground as sirens move close
Peaceful summer night gone awry.
