Laughing so hard that it hurts
Sweating so hard, but not stopping
Running until you can’t breathe
Those were the days
Leaving school in the summer, caramel
Coming back to school, dark chocolate
Waiting for the bell of freedom
Those were the days
Twisted ankles from falling down driveways
Dislocated shoulders from random games of hot-ball
Swollen eyelids from thrown bees
Those were the days
Everybody laughing…
Everybody sweating…
Everybody running…
Those were OUR days.
