I Once Dreamed
I once dreamed
of a world filled with laughter
though now I see the truth
the world is filled with pain,
and nothing can change it
not even when I know who I really am
I am cold and forgotten,
Yet here I stand alone
Waiting for all this pain to end.
You watch me fade into nothing,
Leaving only the glistening tears
And broken pieces of my heart
Behind on the dirty floor
I once dreamed,
but now I truly see
what is in front of me
and I can't wait to explore
what this world holds in its hands
