My Heart Won't Hurt Anymore
Which way should I let my heart go?
Down the road to healing or defeat?
I don’t want my heart to hurt anymore.
Should I let it live,learn,
listen, and love again?
Yes. My heart won’t hurt anymore.
Or, should I let it wallow in the past
making the painful memories of you last for eternity?
No. My heart won’t hurt anymore.
I am powerful and I am strong.
For too long I have wanted to be wanted.
I will be denied no more.
So out the open door I run into the open arms of mother nature; she will love me for me
and not judge by what she sees on the outside.
Unlike you.
She keeps most of her secrets to herself,
but she shares a few of them with me.
Unlike you.
Few have conquered her, with her high mountains and deep oceans,
but too many have returned back to her. In coffins.
She holds several of my friends and family members,
and for keeping them safe, I am grateful to her.
Because of her, I know they will rest in peace.
My heart won’t hurt anymore.
