Who I Might Be
I lie in a room on a warm summer night
And bask in the rays of brilliant moonlight
Then ever so slowly my mind starts to drift
And I seem to fall into a deep rift
It is as I do so that I start to see
Mirrors and reflections of who I might be
There's a soldier, a writer, a captain on the sea...
And a dictator of great notoriety
I stare at myself with fear
As I continue to fall
Then I "crash" back to reality
My head having hit my wall
My heart starts beating faster
As I fear what I will be
Then I take a long, deep breath
Because the choice is up to me
