Competition

Competition can hurt you,
competition can mold you.

Competition can make you weaker,
competition can make you stronger.

Competition can kill you,
competition can bring life into you.

Competition is unique;
it can put you down
like no bully can,
but it can support you
like no parent can.

Competition is art;
art is competition.

Competition has been here since
the beginning of time,
when one animal wanted
to prove itself better than the other,
or the caveman wanted
to gather more food than
the other.

You can call this a drug;
the spirit of competition,
depending on how you use it.
Use it to your advantage,
use it to motivate you,
and you will prosper,
you will succeed, and
be able to make your dreams
come true.
However, use it badly,
use it to hurt others,
and you will be
the one to suffer
when you realize
that they have done things
you only dream about.

We, as humans, all
have rights to be
whatever we want to be,
to do whatever we want to do.
But would any of those things
exist without competition?
Would life be meaningful
without competition?
Would everybody being able
to play an instrument
at the same level
be a good thing,
or a bad thing?
Would races be as fun
if everybody wins,
no matter what?

Life wouldn't be complete
without something called competition.
It would be too monotonous,
pointless, easy.
Use it to your advantage.
Why would we even exist
if there was no competition
in this world?

You should write a book apposing Communism. Your theories are brilliant. You have a real gift. I would love to hear what you have to say about MY poetry. Could you possibly give me some feedback? I have alot to learn. So check them out and comment? I would be thrilled to hear from you.
