A bird flying might seem to be magic
A bird flying might seem to soar
A flying bird might seem to flap

But some birds are in a trap
Some birds have hit the floor
What happens to others seems tragic

The birds we have come to adore
May be in books as a relic
And not be able to cover the map

The author's comments:
I wanted to write this poem because I believe that the treatment of birds for their feathers is awful. Hunting seasons should be cut down and we should stop destroying their habitats to gather room for ourselves,
