Gordy
You are the best friend I could ever ask for
Loyal, gentle, caring.
We have been so close for so many years,
But all good things must come to an end.
I can’t imagine not having you in my life,
Though I have always loved you so much,
It’s hard to remember that you won’t be here forever.
I have learned so much from you,
You showed me that I could be a friend, a best friend.
You showed me I was capable of teaching someone valuable things.
You showed me I was able to love.
From your little white face, to the growing silver on the tip of your tail,
You are so handsome and radiant,
I will never forget the impact you had on my life.
We both watched each other grow up.
Though I am still a teenager,
And you are now an old man,
You are still my best friend,
I love you Gordy.
