High School
It went by like blur
Yet felt like forever
Can’t believe it’s almost over
All the hard work about to finally get me to the next level
One last year
‘Til life starts for real
Anticipation is at its highest
For what is to come
Have to step up and be smart…
Not dumb
In our last days senioritis will be contagious
Hope I don’t catch it
Not even a little bit
Must keep the grades up
Or college dreams could slip away
Forcing me to work at McDonald’s all day
With no time to chill
Higher than this I must strive
I know I can as long as I try
Can’t get intimidated
Or crawl away and hide
I must face issues head on
Do things right the first time
And have no regrets
