Ode to a Bumblebee
You once flew gracefully from flower to flower,
but no more.
You would majestically float across the air,
but no longer.
Your beautiful yellow and black glimmering in the sun,
but never seen again.
You would make sweet honey with the others,
but never again.
You were forgiven even after you harmed people,
but it won’t happen again.
Because you flew too far.
You floated over the long black and yellow line,
And gracefully went SPLAT on the face of a speeding metal monster.
