These dreams that I have
On a nightly basis
Take a toll
I wake
To
Nightmares

Nightmares that are so vividly real
They bring the fear of God
Into me, I wake shaking and sweating
Unable to react
Unable to move
Unable to grasp
The meaning
My conscious is trying
To tell to me

The innuendo of every Last detail
A line crossed
Cinema exposed in my brain
When I close my eyes
A new Life appears
A life Full and
Free or pain and regret
A life I can either Drift away into
A peaceful get away
A adventure I could never explore in reality
Or
I can wake to the burning
Horrific scene that just played out over a time
That felt like forever
