My Mom

My mom has bipolar disorder.
Some think it defines an individual,
But they’re wrong.
She has extreme mood swings,
And a warm heart.
There are days where she won’t seem like my mom,
But she still loves her family.
She’s severely depressed,
Yet it’s not always visible.
Then, without warning, she’ll snap.
Everyone has their issues because everyone is different.
