You are like a ruby red rose
Beautiful, but with thorns
Waiting for the right girl
to come along and pick you

You are like a open book,
Your secrets lie there
Out and in front for all to see Exposing you like you'll never know

You are like a baseball fan
Full of hope and determination
Even at the sight of defeat
Always ready for whatever comes your way

You are like only you
The one I care for the most
Always friendly to anyone you meet
You are like perfection

A beautiful poem. Very sweet. Well-written, great clarity. The picture you chose works great with this poem as well. I like the comparisons, and the ending is perfect. Lovely work. Relatable. Hope he finally sees you for who you are. :) Would you please comment on my poem titled the Warmth of Life and On A Chilly Night?
