The blank page taunts me
I stare at the lines as words appear.
The words are illegible as they dance about the page.
I squint my eyes and try to make out what,
Just what they might be saying.
The page screams, “You can’t do it!”
And the words, “Catch me if you can!”
I reach into the air and grasp for the words,
But they are too fast for me.
I almost have them…
The letters reassemble and move slower.
Slower, slower, slower.
I pick up a few letters here and there,
Until they finally freeze,
And spell
WRITER’S BLOCK.
