A shooting star.
It was a warm summer night in the city
The stars seemed to shine so bright and pretty.
I never thought I’d see such a great sight
But, just my luck I saw a flash of light
My best friend yelled “Look, A shooting star!”
I said “Make a wish before it gets far!”
Then we took a midnight swim in the pool,
The night was great even when it got cool.
This turned out to be a great memory we share,
Of the very few days we didn’t have to care.
